About us
In business since 1969, RIM Engineering is a family business which has designed over 24 miles of roads in Mansfield alone. We have been designing residential and commercial projects for 50 years in Southeastern Massachusetts. RIM Engineering handles all aspects of the project from Land Surveying to Civil Engineering, presenting the project to various town boards and committees.
In Memoriam
Sadly, we would like to acknowledge the passing of two members of our team.
Our colleague John Chartier unexpectedly and suddenly passed away in July of 2021. John had been with RIM Engineering for 35 plus years, starting as an extra on a survey crew and later becoming the soil evaluator and wetland expert for the company.
Ralph Maloon graduated from Northeastern University in 1960 and after working in both the private and public sector founded RIM Engineering Co., Inc. in 1969. In business for 52 years, Ralph designed 27.2 miles of road in Mansfield alone. Ralph passed away on February 5, 2022, leaving the business in the capable hands of his two nephews.
Craig and Mike have 39 years of professional service between them and will continue to provide excellent service in the surveying and engineering fields. Although the scope of our work may change our commitment to providing accurate information to our clients will not.
Meet the Team
Craig Cygawnoski
Registered Land Surveyor
Craig has been with the company since 1982 and became a Registered Land Surveyor in 1998. As such, he has performed boundary surveys, land court surveys as well as construction layout and design.
Only a Professional Land Surveyor duly registered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (see 250 CMR) is legally permitted to perform land surveys in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
